The Site

The site, which is owned by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) and a private forest investor, lies centrally within the Dumfries & Galloway Council area. 

Current Status

Scoping Report submitted to Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit (ECU) in October 2025.

Public Consultation

Force 9 is committed to open and transparent communication with the local community. The first public consultation was held in October 2025 and the second exhibition events will take place on the 29th and 30th of September in Moniaive, Balmaclellan and Dunscore.
